Holiday season is over, the new year Begins
I had fun, my family keeps getting bigger, which I suppose is a good thing.
My eldest brother and his wife and kids came up to see us the day after Christmas, and stayed for a week. at thanksgiving, because I let him and his family use my room, every time he and I were in the room at the same time, he'd thank me for letting him use my room, the bed was comfy, but the room was awfully purple. so this time, a few days before they were to come up to visit, I went through and gathered every purple thing I could and put it in my room. pity is I didn't take a picture like I wanted, but it was fun. they got her on Friday night, and it took him till Sunday night to notice. I'd say I'd take it another step and paint my walls purple and get purple carpet but, as much as I like the color, I don't like it that much. and the fabric that I draped everywhere, which was how I got the majority of my room turned purple, that kind of thing annoys me, it only passes in my closet as a way to hide my storage area in the side I leave open most the time. It was fun, the whole barrage of "paint your room green" has gone up, but it was fun, and worth it.
if people beg me enough I'll set the fabric back up and take a pic, but you gotta beg.
as for my growing family, I have one cousin who's due any day now, her due date was the 27th of December, and as of right now, we've not gotten a call saying she had the baby yet. and we'd better or I'll poke my cousin-in-law, cause he knows I need to know, I've got a bib to put a name on.
another cousin, she announced on Christmas Eve that she was pregnant, this will be their second. I swear, theses people don't want to give me a chance to work on my own cross-stitch projects, they keep having babies and getting married.
I did manage to get one thing made, two actually, but I can't say what they are, cause one person hasn't opened theirs yet, yes Becca, that'd be you, Stella got the other one. its not a cross-stitch though, but it is a crafty thing. I'm having a real slacking on the picturing of my crafts...when you open it Becca take a pic for me will you.
anyway, that's all I can think of that's new, I've got loot shots, cause its just something that seems to have become a tradition, not sure how, but its fun.

To the far left, the gold and blueish mug with the lid would be a tea mug that my parents brought back from China, there's a closer shot of that later. The red and yellow box right behind it would be the box it came in.
The two books next to that are the first two volumes of the Manga STONe, I've only finished the first one so far, but its cool, but not something I'd have picked for myself, which is good, broadens my horizons and all that. This was from my niece Stella, and her parents, as a thank you for all the help I give them, taking care of their kid.
the Chia Garfield and the bath puff are kinda self explanatory, the blue box being Garfield and the manga, that's a set of lip gloss and nail polish, themed in Ring pop, Bazooka and Baby Bottle Pop flavors. this was also a thank you gift, this one from my niece Piper and nephew Linus and their parents.
The laptop, the Tales a Beedle the Bard, the lamb(the black blobish thing next to the laptop)are again, self explanatory. so are the Slim Jim and the candy, its a Reese's peanut butter tree. the little things laying on top of the laptop are the earrings I got, there's a closer shot of them later too.
the three books behind the sheep are a trilogy from Becca, she feeds my reading habit on a regular basis....she feeds alot of my habits now that I think about it...where'd I hide the pocky she sent me...my family are now hooked too, must hide it.
The picture in the frame is the annual portrait of all my nieces and nephews that my mother started doing, or rather, all her grandchildren.
Last bit
Shower gel from bath & body works in my scent, and a foot thingy, nail brush, file, pumice stone, and whatchamacallit thing, that helps scrape off dry dead skin, reminds me of a cheese grater. you can't really tell, but the whole thing is meant to look like a little person.
And my movies, Jeff Dunham's comedy special 'Spark of Insanity'(cause my mother doesn't want to kill me by deleting it off the DVR, but she's tired of listening to it cause the DVR only plays on the living room tv) and Mamma Mia.
now onto close up shots.
The China Mug, it has three parts, the mug, a strainer for loose tea, and a lid, for help in brewing the tea.
My earrings. they're a little blurry, but this is like the 10th picture I took of them, and it came out the best, so this is the one you get. the swirly threader earrings are purple that fade into blue, or blue that fade into purple, whichever way you look at it. The other pair have a crescent moon, with a star on the bottom that have little pearls hanging off them, of the disc's in the middle, the larger one is a swirly blue color, and the smaller is a silver color. both look kind of like a little pile of blobs were squashed flat to make a disc, that's the only way I can explain it really.
and because I'm sure someone will notice this in the corner of the loot pic
the dolls are a late birthday gift from Becca, and the drawing is from a friend of hers
I need to pry my Christmas cards off my door and scan the drawing another friend drew in the one she sent me, but that'll have to wait, as I'm tired, and I'd like to get a little more sleep tonight before dawn.
