I have to what?

So, as I've shared, I got the Charmed complete series set for Christmas (not that I worship its very assistance in my room, no, not at all)

so, being sensible, I went about selling off my old individual season sets

Amazon, wonderful as they are, only offered about $2-$3 per season..... bastards

So, since I already have an Ebay buying account, I figured lets look into a sellers account. or adding selling, whatever.

The first time I looked into it, I was greeted with a wall of OMFG you want me to what? after that shock wore off I went back, and clicked a whole different link, and poof, easy as pie.

so, now they've sold, and I have to mail them out....

and it's not that I don't get that this would come, it's more of a "do I hafta" feeling I have.

there's also the whole should I go buy envelopes and try to send them media mail, or should I fork over the extra cash for the flat rate envelope....

bah, gotta wait for payment till I can ship em anyway.

Well how much did you charge the buyer for shipping? One of the quickest ways to piss off a buyer is overcharging for shipping, even if it's inadvertent.

I'm actually only waiting for payment on one of the items, the other two have paid already. I'm hoping to avoid having to do more trips than necessary to the post office, naturally, but if the last one is gonna be slow about it, I'll have to send out the others.

I charged $3. I'm likely gonna have to spend over that though.

lol I forgot to sign in and it screened me:

If you charged $3 then send it media mail. That should cover the cost of a cheap package and shipping. Worst case scenario, you're not spending *too* much more than you charged. Flat rate will run you at least double what you charged.

that's what I'm hoping for, depends on how much I'm able to get some envelopes for.

I buy them from Wal-Mart. The worst place to get them is an office supply store or the post office. You can get a good sized padded envelope for about 1.50 at Wal-Mart, if not cheaper.

ETA: I just noticed you changed your layout. It's pretty!

I've seen some for 50 cents, but prices change all the time, so we'll see.

heh, thanks!

I usually try not to spend any extra money on packaging if I can afford it-- I save old bubble mailers and reuse them. If I'm sending something media mail, I'll just wrap the book in brown paper using the reverse side of a grocery bag.

I do that too, but all my old packing things that I could reuse are all either too small or too huge, unfortunately. I'd do the brown wrap thing, except that these are DVDs, and I want a bit more protection on them than that.
