To prove me wrong in my statement " they love to claw up cardboard, they'll love this scratcher" they still claw everything but the scratcher...

To prove mom and dad wrong in their statements " the cats aren't using it at all" they use the scratcher like a bed.

I once bought Emme a little ladder so that she could climb up from and down to the floor whenever she wanted. Instead, she shredded it to bits. Obviously I missed the part of the package that claimed it was a CHEW TOY instead, lol.

The cats do bat the little balls and mice around, and love on the catnip pillow, so, maybe?

One of them did break open said catnip pillow, which I really need to get around to fixing, we have plenty of catnip after all, 1-800-pet-meds seems to think we need that more than the little baggies of kitty treats....their treat gifting in each package is very random.

Sounds about right. Princess ignores every toy I ever bought her resembling milk rings in favor of the milk rings and that scratch pad I bought her? The wall apparently works soooo much better

Tell them to leave the scratcher alone, don't let them touch it when you are in the room. they will tear it to pieces in no time. :D
