Fate, I am not amused..

vexed_wench and I are in there together, at least in the last few months, you've probably heard us talking about the game that we play together online us.ikariam.com/. We're only mildly obsessed, I swearz XD.
So, since I can't quite figure out how to put it yet, to get it through their skulls and not totally insult them all, I'm going to rant and blather here. Feel free to offer suggestions if you like, but it's not necessary, I'm really just trying to get my frustration at their stupidity out before I try to say anything to them all.
in the game of Ikariam, there's groups, somewhat like Comms on LJ, where players get together, and help each other out, be it with advice on game play, or with materials to build up their towns. We're good on that part.
within these alliances there's a thing called "Circular Messages" these are very self explanatory, a message that you type in once, and it sends it out to everyone within the alliance, duh, right?
So, every now ant then, people get carried away on a topic, and the alliance leaders have to call the whistle on the topic, as a good leader should....
right now the leaders been a little slack, but hey, her sister just passed away after a long battle with cancer, excuse the woman some time to work through that pain, even if they did know that it was coming like they did, it's still gonna hit you that the person's gone.
Not that anyone's really complaining about the lack of the leaders presence right now, but the way these people are whining, I wouldn't be surprised if someone did start on it.
So, our alliance, it's a large one. the lowest number of members I've ever seen it have at one time is about 85, and right now its sitting at 117 members. on average, during peaceful times, I find 10-20 circular messages in my inbox on the site. not bad, considering there's over 100 members in the alliance right now. if we happen to go to war, which alot of people are drooling for, that number of messages would only about double, maybe a little more, depending on how big a war it was that we happened to end up with.
it's sort of turning into fandom wank, really it is.
there's 2 or 3 people in the alliance, at least that I can recall at the moment, who whine, and I mean whine, there's no other way to put the way they write their complaints, about there being too many circular messages sent out each day.
Oh Yeah! and those 10-20 messages that I get within an average day? yeah, they're about one, sometimes two lines long, each one of them.
the rest of the problem?
there's another 2 or 3 people, who make fun, and call these whiners about too many "CM's" the CM Police, just to irritate those whining about the number of CM's.
then there's the one's who either argue for the logic behind alot of CM's, and those who outright tell off those who complain....
and all this is ignoring the fact that 90% of the people within this alliance, especially the one's who complain about too many CM's, continually fail to follow the rather simple rules that the leadership has put together to help make it easier for people to skim through their Cm's, all it takes is a tiny bit more of typing at the beginning of their message, or even keeping a text file saved to their desktop and use copy/paste when they send out another note.
Long rant short, I'm frustrated with these people, but not all of them deserve to have it taken out on them.
