The promised Crafty

shinelumiereI've been pestering my mother that she needs more season appropriate wreaths to cover other parts of the year, aside from Christmas and Autumn. I've also been pestering her that she has several wreaths that are abused and beyond salvaging, aside from their wreath bases. Back in the Autumn I got her to go pick out the flowers and whatnot that she'd like for a fall wreath(posted pics back here...), cause the old one was one of the old abused wreaths.
So after much dropping of hints that good old A.C.Moore was having sales(when doesn't A.C.Moore have a sale though, really?) I got Mom to the store to check out their holiday clearance, and as is the nature of the stores, they already had the St Patty's day items out,
This first wreath is the one for our "front" door, the base is from a wreath that one of my brothers had made in school once upon a time, but was unfortunately faded, dirty, and falling apart. When Mom mentioned to him that we were going to use the wreath base over, he just kind of smiled and nodded with a look of "and I needed to know this why?" on his face XD Boys.
This wreath is for my grandmother's room at her nursing home. just cause she's there doesn't mean she can't have some pretty. Green is also her favorite color, and probably plays a factor in St. Patty's Day being one of her favorite holidays XD. Hopefully the door hook that we got to hang it with works on the door there.
This picture is here simply because the whole thing amused me to bits.
Last weekend while my siblings and their family's were over to celebrate my younger brothers birthday, my younger brother brought his dog, since they were spending the night and all. I have stopped worrying so much about stressing the cats when their dog come over, they hide, or hiss and claw, and as my brother said the last time one of our cats caught the dog across the nose, the dog's gotta learn somehow, the cat can fight back.
This instance, Duchess who you can clearly see on top of the bed was happy to lay there and watch the world around her, and only bothered to hiss or growl when the dog would stick her nose up on the bed.
Puddums chose to hide under the bed, which you can just barely see her, mostly the white part of her front legs, just under the bed-skirt. Puddums is much quicker to react, and as soon as Nali would walk into my room, you could hear the low growl, and when Nali would get down on the floor as she is in this picture, and she she would creep forward, till Puddums growl would turn into a hiss, and then a lunge with claws out.
And as long as all Nali really wants out of the whole thing is to play, we'll leave her to figure out that the cats in this house are just not the ones to try to play with.
It just makes me laugh when I think about it. Nali trying to get one of the cats to play, and Duchess up on top of the bed watching it with me, While it was amusing, it's kinda like a kid with a key and an electrical socket, who gets jolted, and then goes back again....you kinda stare a bit dumbfounded, and want to ask them, really?
And now back to FF8!
