It's a little bit ridiculous..
Mar. 14th, 2013 11:59 amFor those I haven't share it with, I'm in the process of the testing required for weight loss surgery. Lots of things to test and go through before its finalized and scheduled, fun times.
So, one of the things I've had to do is see a Respiratory specialist and see where I am with that part, and if they think I need a sleep study.Considering the surgeon who I'm seeing requested one, and I present several symptoms of sleep apnea and I've never had a sleep study done before, They want me to have one.
The kicker here, that's boggling, yet amusing me is this :
The Respiratory specialist's office that is next to/behind the offices of the weight loss surgery center that I'm going to, they have their offices on the upper level, and the rooms for the sleep study's are in the lower level, so you can go to the same building for both, and don't have to find another building for one or the other, smart move, right?
Well, for whatever reason, while the Respiratory specialists office on the upper floor takes my insurance the sleep center downstairs dose not......Wha?
They're the same building, run by the same hospital, just at a satellite location.....wha?
so now I have to go all the way up to the main hospital in reading, which isn't a huge deal, cause it's only 15-30 minutes away, depending on traffic, but really?
So I go in for that next Tuesday. I'll have to dig out a bag to pack stuff in and figure out what I'm gonna take with me.
At least this is the only instance of "we don't take that insurance here" I've had so far in the 2 years I've had it, so yay? *knocks on wood*
