Spray Paint, Flower Pots and Oddity....
May. 3rd, 2011 10:00 pmSo, last night I decided to go put a coat of pain on this old flower pot we have, it's still in pretty great shape, it just looks like garbage from sitting out on the front porch year after year.
My father happened to have a can and a half of white spray paint, and I myself found another can and a half, one blue, and one silver hiding in the back of the cat closet...you never know around here where you'll find something.
I figured I'll go with the white, it's clean, and could go pretty much anywhere we wanted. after I'd used the entire half can that was left over, with little change to the color of the pot(the white spray paints generic, and I think it sucks for whatever material this pot is made of, it covered the plastic buckets dad painted fine....) I changed rout and went for the blue. [insert frustrated sounds of battle with extremely uncooperative spray can) I got the pot covered, and it seemed to look ok, so I left it to dry, and went to bed. Also, the cloud of airborne paint was making it hard to see, and couldn't be good for me to be breathing.
This afternoon, I went to check out the pot, and while it was pretty much blue, the coverage looked like crap, so I went to put on another coat. only the extremely uncooperative spray can had become totally uncooperative and after a bit of spray, refused to work at all.
so, now the pot is silver, the silver spray paint is gone, and I leave the fate of the can of blue to my fathers whims. Hopefully a silver flower pot will look good in the yard.
However, now, for some strange reason, my right forefinger is acting weird. it doesn't want to be extended. I don't know how else to put it. it's hard to use it to do simple things like pushing the button on my camera, and it won't let me use it to pop the tab on a soda can.
I'm hoping it's just stressed and aggravated from all the spray painting though and will go away in a day or so...
